“Banal”, a canção com que abre o álbum “Quit Dreaming And Get on the Beam”, de Bill Nelson, que foi, em grande parte, gravado em 1978 e 1979, para o segundo álbum dos Red Noise, mas que ficou na prateleira, porque a editora Harvest recusou editá-lo. Após o fim do projecto “Bill Nelson’s Red Noise” (de que só tinha saído um álbum, em 1979), Bill Nelson acabou por ter de comprar à editora os direitos das canções para poder editar o álbum, finalmente, em 1981, em nome próprio. Na contra-capa do disco ficou o desabafo de Bill Nelson: «the music on this album was written during the latter part of 1978 and recorded at intervals between February and June of 1979. That it is only now publicly available I find ironic. Nevertheless, I am pleased that these tracks, which constitute approximately two thirds of the total material recorded for the album, have finally been aquitted... by mirrors if not by justice.
